Rickie, do you know why they were in such a hurry to re-invent the $100 note? From what i heard, conterfeiters were bleaching the $5 note, and imprinting a $100 image on it. Most people would not catch that the thread or watermark were missing. Again, from what i heard, the BEP had plans to re-invent the $5 note,but had to push that off for a while to try to stop the fake $100 notes. As rumours go.. i wonder if this was true.. one never can be sure with rumours...
