Nice medal, and I would have gotten one too but the price was out of my ball park. If you served, I thank you. Regards.

I got my yesterday. My father served in the Navy during WWII with the Marines as the Corpsman (SP?). Signed with the Army in 1950 as their Medic during Korea Conflict (War), We went with him to Landstuhl, Germany for 3 years, then back to Korea doing something. Then we went all over after that. We then went to France in 1964. Graduated from the Verdun American Dependents High School in 1965. (Any of you guys in France? It was a boarding school.) He was stationed at Fort Gordon, GA. Shortly after that, I served a 2 year Mission in Uruguay. I was drafted3 months after I got home to North Carolina. Basic at Fort Bragg, AIT Fort Dix, NJ, then Jump School at Benning, GA, then back to North Carolina, Fort Bragg, 82nd ABN, 4th & the 3rd when their "Colors" came back from Vietnam. All of that in 24 MONTHS, I had a great job. They found out that I could type, so I was assigned to a JAG office in the 4th & 3rd.
Anyway, while I was enjoying myself stateside, my father was sent to Vietnam and my brother was in the Navy on a ship in th Gulf.
Thanks to all of you that served and especially those of you that went to Vietnam.

I am not fond of the finish on these coins, or I might have purchased one. If it had be a reverse or just highly polished, I might have considered it.
Four years Air Force, Vietnam twice.

I rather enjoy the burnished look of 'em.

When I got mine, I opened it up and looked at it briefly. I like it, but I think I need to go back and look at it to see what I did get. I'm trying to collect all of the 2.5 Military Service Medals. I missed out on the USMC. We have been renovating our home and my computer went down. I would like to get all of the One Ounce Military Coins. They're a lot cheaper and are still Silver.
