I'm thankful I was able to accomplish finishing some sets this year under budget. I'm thankful for how much enjoyment the hobby gives me. I'm thankful I can share my collection with others as well as learn and see others share their new acquisitions. So what are you thankful for, coin related?
I am thankful that I actually have the money to pay for all of the coins that I am buying, or otherwise, I would be broke.
I'm thankful to be able to hold pieces of history. As to my collection, I'm thankful my wife doesn't know how much I spend or how much it's worth.
Like the OP, I'm thankful for how much I enjoy coins, whether it be scoping out the fabulous high-grade coins that I can't afford on Legend's website, or just finding a wheat ear cent in change. This is my 52nd year of coin collecting and my enthusiasm hasn't changed much.
I'm thankful that I am able to have a collection. Nothing I have is amazing by the standards of most of the collectors on here. But it's mine and I am grateful I have the time/disposable income to even have what I do.
I am thankful for finally getting some rare coins on my want list. sharing my coins with other coin collectors and seeing their collections is the best feeling ever.
Great replies here. I'm most grateful for my ancients and military tokens/MPC/chits...so that's like 95% of my collection...I'm thankful I've been able to assemble a very modest collection that I'm proud to show and talk about. And my final thought if it wasn't for this forum my collecting would be drastically different and I receive great pleasure talking to and sharing the hobby with the other members here.
Ditto! I'm also thankful to have so many opportunities to learn about the hobby, this site being a prime example. That has allowed me to be more selective about how I spend my hard earned money, so I can look at my coins and have the satisfaction of knowing that I didn't overspend.
I'm thankful that three generations before me built a nice collection with plenty of duplicate coins and handed it down to me. I am able to trade for coins that I would never be able to afford otherwise. And Im thankful that my son has enough interest and will continue as the fifth generation whenever I am useless.
