Selling what I believe to be a fake ancient. Please let me know if I am wrong. Also, they are selling a $2 1/2 Indian, and it looks like stock pictures, so I am guessing it is fake too. And their seller name is pcgs? Gotta be some kinda law against that. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ancient-Ath...475261?hash=item280c6285fd:g:rIIAAOSwvt1WRp5z
Jesus, you do have to realize you ain't talking to people that know thos That's hilarious - must have been the early days of PCGS when the stapled them in to 2X2's
That's priceless... just priceless, and you just know he thought he was slick as hell coming up with it. And the quarter eagles he's listed is just stunning as well. I wonder how long it took him to Google (at least the) reverse photos?
but, but, P.C.G.S. has been an eBay member for only a month and has 22 positive feedbacks. Of course, they're all as a buyer....
Yikes! The problem is that although the fake is obvious to us, an unsuspecting newbie could be permanently turned off from our hobby after being victimized by something like this.
I was looking through Craigslist last week and checked the collectables. A guy advertised a "doubled die" with a picture. It was a 1991 penny with obvious incuse DDD. The guy went on to say "what you see is what you get". He was asking $500.00 I flagged the ad, and made a new post warning people of this fraudster. The ad went away. I don't know if someone bought it. It would be sad if it sold.
This guy also wants you to pay with your credit card. Must be time for him to do his Christmas shopping.
