hubby finally had time to weigh my coin but as luck turns out, somebody swiped the scale...lol so....now what? anyone here want me to send it to them so they can check it out for me?
She probably would have more fun at the jewelry store, especially if she had her hubbies checkbook. Good luck on getting it weighed Twiggs! As a side note, you can also get this affect from putting them on a light bulb too long, let's just say I was bored one day. Good luck Twiggs!
Sorry, that coin was buried at one point in its life and was likely dug up by a metal detectorist and placed back in circulation. It has that buried on the East coast of the US look! I've seen that hundreds of times on clad coinage that I've unearthed. Thanks, Bill
Twiggs As you learn more they'll think you're less nuts. When I was in retail I pulled a LOT of currency out at face value. Of course I wasn't there 24 hours a day but the business was open 24. Co workers started looking out for me. One day I walked in to find that the midnight shift had found a VERY difficult Fort Worth 295 error (long explanation on the error). That note would have run me $50 so I gave each cashier $10. I paid $20 and they were more than happy for the effort. Keep lookin and learnin
