Ref: Sear 1866, DO-8 Constantine IX Class D anonymous follis, 1042-1055 AD Obv: IC to left, XC to right of Christ, nimbate, seated facing on throne with back, holding book of Gospels in both hands Rev: bAS-ILE bAS-ILE in three lines Ref: SB 1836. Ref: Sear 1866, DO-8 There are many things to study about these coins (the undertype for those which were overstruck, for instance) but I just haven't become interested. I'm thinking about selling all or most of my Byzantines.

Curious? ... as you begin to find/sort/post some of your Byzy-coins, are you beginning to consider collecting them, or are they still chattel?
I'm trying hard to love them but there are just so many other coins that capture my interest (Greek, Roman Provincial, Roman Republican mainly).
