1925 Stone Mountain Half

    Well, what are your thoughts on this half dollar. Looks like it's been cleaned at some point but I still like the look. I've venture a grade guess of AU-55.

    Au, probably, however, isn't there supposed to be more 'background' detail on the obverse. That is, more texture to the fields?

    I'd say AU58 cleaned

    Well I don't think you can go wrong for $20. I would say AU details with a cleaning though.

    hyes, a very nice coin! i dont think many survived without cleaning! maybe some, but not many :(

    Very impressive half dollar. Lovely design, too. I think $20 is about right. AU50-55 and it was most likely cleaned, yes. The obverse does show wear at about 1 o'clock. Nice beauty for an 82-year old coin.
