What do you hate finding in rolls the most?

That's exactly what I did. I started book from 1940-present. Only missing about 5 up until around 2005. Finding the newest ones are a lot harder.

I hate finding not enough coins in the roll. Foreign coins get irritating too, unless they're pre-1970s. Candy, hair, glitter, other gunk.

But worst of all? Finding a keeper coin that has been defaced either intentionally (stamped, holed, acid, bent) or unintentionally by a Loomis or other coin wrapper machine. Aw yeah buffalo nickel... damn it has circle cuts on the back. Grrr!

 

You do find some nasty stuff in cent rolls. Found a bug in a CWR once, luckily it was dead.

It's amazing how many times I get hair. Who the hell is rolling these things? Bigfoot?

 

I hate finding silver; too much work to turn on my buffing wheel to make them look all pretty again. And then your fingers get all black. No silver for me thank you.

 

Except the copper or silver coins. Those have intrinsic value.

 

Okay.... My mistake, coins that look like they are white/corroded.

Not following the other post, modern coins.

 

Finding clad coins makes me angry.

lol, though seriously, any type of sticky gunk on coins.

 

I always thought that the finding Canadian pennies annoying but threw them in a jar because my counter at the bank wouldn't take them. Just like agilmore and shoegazer did. I bought a dansco album and it fills 3 pages by missing one hole at the end. The some after 2003 are very difficult to find in design,logo,P and what they are made of.

In my Dansco I have 21 slots from 2003 on for the different kinds. Some others are very expensive to even buy. I bought one today off ebay and it better be right when it comes in. A 2007 Zinc (non-magnetic) in a set. The next cheapest one I see on ebay was around $7.73, so certain ones can get pricey.

some of the 2006's can be very expensive to purchase, some on ebay are asking over hundred dollars for some. so everyone should check their Canadian pennies.

 

I had it happen with the homestead quarters. some rolls were all UNC and a few had 1 or 2 different quarters.

 

Chuck E. Cheese tokens.

 

But even with one token, you could go to the nearest Chuck E. Cheese and win a thousand tickets. Don't see why you hate getting them.

 

I don't go to Chuck E. Cheese, but those tokens work pretty much universally in a lot of those ticket games - at the bowling alley!

 

I keep finding a bunch of keys in bags of nickels lately, 3 different bags from different banks this month had a house key or master lock key in them.

 

Anything that looks like a science experiment that went wrong.

 

There are no Chuck E. Cheeses near me. At least not near enough.

 

I've found some subway and highway tokens, neither of which can be used anymore. Plus other game tokens. The ones I really don't like, though, are washers and metal or plastic slugs.
