is this an error or wear

The 973 is flattened at the bottom of the numbers. Is that an error or wear?

What in the world did you do to the first picture? I couldn't figure out what happened to the coin, then noticed it was altered with.

 

973 are just flat from a hit. The obverse views just look like bad photoshoping.

 

this is what I am using. Notice the enhancer glass, that causes the distorted look when the coin is not completely centered.

It is not altered or photoshopped. I am using a magnifying glass to take up close pictures. That is what the distorted look is.
