Contorted QE II Halfpenny, Pleasant Error

    Looks like it was double struck on a capped die.

    I believe it was as the early to mid-60s that the Royal Mint had a lot going on. I have copper nickel off metal strikes on the penny (1964-1967) and quite a few other errors on halfpennies, threepennies, and florins....
