Paul, (AKA n_sandler4) please let us know how the investigation goes on the recovery of your coins. Take Care Ben
Flaming is just being very nasty to another poster for the sake of being nasty. I didn't read the original post that was edited out of the forum but I thought that if a post was getting too nasty, it was simply locked not edited away. What was the reason for deleting the whole thread instead of just locking it? I can't figure out why if someone is asking for help to recover some stolen items, the thread would turn to flaming other posters. Doesn't seem very supportive of a fellow CoinTalk member to me.
Personal attacks on another member, such as referring to this member's loss as "a few lousy coins", or accusing this member of having modified coins to "create" edgeless ones. As explained in the closed thread, the mix of mostly supportive and intelligent postings was so infected with flaming and otherwise improper posts that I was unwilling to spend the amount of time that would have been necessary to properly edit each post. Neither I, nor any other Moderator, have unlimited time to devote to CoinTalk. Unfortunately, there are some mentally/morally challenged people in this world that the rest of usdon't understand. If there weren't, psychiatrists would have to take up some other line of work, and internet forum moderators could retire.
