Well, most Hadrian denarii have a shaved or semi-shaved Hadrian, but that's due to wear on the coins. But even so, there is no mistaking Trajan for anyone with that thick eyebrow ridge of his. It is quite distinctive. In some coins of his, he almost comes off as a little bit of a caveman/neanderthal because of his thick eyebrow ridge.

This came today too. I've never seen a slab like this . I think it's very cool looking.

1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent (PCGS MS64BN). One of the keys to the Lincoln Cent series. It's the lowest mintage regular issue, but not the most scarce (I think the 1914-D takes that prize). This example is quite eye appealing with some nice color. Looks like a potential upgrade candidate to MS65. For some reason SVDB's tend to be homely in general and rarely toned with color, but this one has a bit of flash.

so we had another drop-off at the bank, of someone's old "junk" coin container. i sorted a bunch off as it processed, and i got so excited over it that other bank employees took notice and wanted to get their cut of the take. so this is what i ended up with:
starting from the left column going down, then to the next column and so on:

    1959D .25; 1957D .25; 1937D .25
    1954 .10; 1927 .10; 1851O .10 (drilled), 1899 .10 (canada)
(unreadable date)O half dime (drilled); 1853 half dime (2x drilled); 1904 IH cent
    1944P war nickel; 1927 buffalo; 1937 buffalo; 1912 V nickel
    1866 3 cent nickel; 1865 3 cent nickel

there were a few other coins that went to other employees, mostly silver quarters and dimes, but there was also a 1908 or 1903 GB 3 pence, and a couple more half dimes with newer dates.

i can get better pics if anyone wants to see something in particular. i'm still looking into year/mint varieties to see if anything rare is included in the group, but i thought i'd get a pic out here in case anyone recognizes something unique. thanks for looking!

I am assembling the 1938 through 42 Jefferson proofs. As much as I have looked, I haven't seen any PLs from the war years. Suspect $$$$ would be involved.
