weird recurring damage on nickels

    I don't have any pics but I will get them up asap. I keep finding circules scratched in the face of nickels... didn't think much of it at first. Figured they got stuck in a machine some where. But noticed most its only on the face and showing up on more then I would think for a random damage. Google and the key words I have been using don't seem to be working. Also I have 2 other nickels that look like they have been sheared on both sides. Like they were to thick. Will also post pics asap.

    Go to your local bank and ask the teller if you can see the rolls. Look at the end of machine wrapped coins. I think you will find the same PMD that you are describing. It is caused by the coin wrapping machine.

    Thank you very much. I didn't think it was a mint error but its good to know for peace of mind.
