Duh. A guy at some intersection, trying to sell a "gold coin". Would I buy in such a situation? Of course not. Then he even says, buy it from me and sell it at that coin store over there, and make a profit. Hello?! Why don't you make that profit yourself? I would certainly walk away from such a guy too. Without buying anything from him of course. Christian
LOL. It a show that shows how much people don't really know about silver or gold. Last time I checked it's legit. A woman bought one and later cashed it in for the difference of spot gold. The show is paid by advertisements. Really, it's an educational show.
I agree. This sounds like a complete scam. I didn't watch it but I have before, I can't remember if it was this one or a different one where he's trying to pay his cell phone bill or something. Anyway the whole thing sounds stupid. Would I buy from a random guy on the street, no. That's strike one. Would I buy from a guy who is selling the coin outside of a coin shop, no. Why because if he really wanted to sell it he would walk ten feet to the coin shop to sell it. Why didn't he do that? It's fake probably. That's strike two. Would I buy from a guy saying "if you buy it from me you could sell it for a profit", no. I get upset when people on Instagram say, "It's too much work for me to list this on eBay so I'm just gonna sell it cheap here so you can make a profit." That's a huge bag of lies and is one of the most annoying things out there for people to say. That being said I understand the point of this "social experiment", to show how clueless people are about the metals market but two things one, why do they need to know about metals markets? If some guy walked up to you and tried to sell you a truck full of grain for $100 and you said no are you now dumb? No because the grain markets aren't important to you. It's the same with these people. Second, if you knew the grain markets, you would know no one would sell a truck full for so little. Anyway that's just my opinion.
Id buy it in a New York sec I agree w/ Jason I many people just don't Know I would have taken him up on offer $20 -30 gamble plus it looked real I think I could or many people here tell a fake gold coin One girl was offered trade bottle of water Its just that people do not want to be taken advantage of thats a given. but if they only knew if any numismatists walked by at that time I wonder
I seen it before I always thought it was to show how jaded society is. With all the crooks out there they may have thought it was stolen, although there being a camera man and him holding a mic I'd take the chance because id think I was on a random gameshow
