i found a gold dime at work the other day. it says it was made in 1966. i was just wondering if i had something worth anything. i dont know anything about coins, so if you could help me. EDITED---its not a good idea to post your email address on an open forum. kandie
First off, welcome! Second off, it sounds plated to me. No added value, sorry. Hope you enjoy it here. Phoenix
Welcome aboard,Kandie. It's best not to post your email address on the board,as there are spammers trolling around looking for email addresses to flood the inboxes of. It sounds like you definitely have a Dime that has been plated. Aidan.
True. Covered all bases there, lol. Just out of curiousity PrettyGirl, could you post a pic of it? Phoenix
To Pretty Girl & Others: It is not a good idea to post your e-mail address on line. Ask for a PM instead.
That's not recommended either, as it totally ignores one of the primary purposes of the forum - numismatic education, which private responses do not further. When you post a request for information, please return to the thread later to read the public responses, and don't expect confidential answers, because that's not what CoinTalk is all about!
welcome! and i'm glad you checked in and asked your question. it's best to find out info before spending money needlessly sending something off to a tpg.
spam, i bet it's a freakin spam profile. Lets see, her name is "prettygirl" and she left her email. spam
There is always the possibility that she is waiting for someone to privately email her an answer to her question, and has no intention of using this forum for its intended purpose. If that's the case, it backfired. She did not put her email address in her profile, so now that it was edited out of her post, there is no way to locate it and let her know what's going on. Hasn't this dead horse had all the beating it needs?
