I'm curious as to how a scientific experiment violates a trademark ???

Oh, pretty much anything somebody uses that a company says is "theirs" can constitute a trademark violation.

For example, Monsanto has the "patent" on bastami rice. You know, the kind of rice that's been growing in India for the past 5,000 years? That belongs to Monsanto, don't you know.

At least their lawyers tried, or are attempting to try to make that so.

I'm going to "patent" rocks. Every time someone uses a rock, they gotta pay me!
