Looks like the snow (dandruff) on the roof and hair on the log variety to me.

Well it was Nebraska, during the frontier days, could have been cow dung for all we know.

I strongly disagree that's snow on the roof. I replaced a roof for storm and hail damage. That's a loosened shingle from storm and hail damage. :D

question: Send them in? I thought these were just minor die breaks, low interest, or am I mis-informed?

Yours is a small crack, Tommy's is a small cud, and they are cool, but they are minor. I wouldn't send them in.

No, it's not worth the expense. And these die breaks vary so widely that it would take an entire catalog just to list them in. They are all over the place on these Philly's, left & right roof, in the corn stalks, bottom of the pail, etc. Some are small, some are huge. I usually offer these on Listia for trade credits and then order silver bullion after my credits are high enough. I do have about 250 doubled dies from this series I have not cataloged yet and some of the better ones will go to ANAC's.
