Has anyone purchased or dealt with this coin dealer? I'd like to make a purchase and just wanted to get some feedback. Thank you.
They seem like a good place, except I don't like that they don't have pics of their coins. But I haven't dealt with them, some others might have. Here is the site for some that want to look at it. Phoenix
I wouldn't buy from that place just based on the website alone. Hardly any links and poorly laid out.
That's a nigh-fatal flaw for me. There's no way I would purchase ANYTHING truly sight-unseen... I've gotta have high-quality pics. Ask for them. There's a good chance they'll provide pics of the one(s) you want. Make sure those pics zoom in on the piece - nice and sharp, obverse and reverse - but also get a pic that shows the unique certification number on the slab. Also, verify that the piece in the pic is the one you will receive. Bad pics = no deal. Verify their return policy in writing. Their site says 7-day return for any reason. That's mandatory - no returns = no deal. Get the details - 7 days from when you RECEIVE it, or 7 days from when they SHIP it ? 7 CALENDAR days, or business days ? One good sign - they're PNG members. I'm told that's very exclusive. Anyone care to pitch in on that ? How important / valuable is PNG membership ?
They have a sterling reputation among customers. It's always best to try new dealers, traders and buyers with small orders or small deals until you get a feel for their grading and needs. Sometimes you can ramp up pretty fast though.
I bought from them on eBay a year or so ago. I distinctly remember a perfect, problem free transaction. For some reason, I also remember that they didn't hold feedback hostage, which I personally favor. I recall that I was very impressed, and added them to my preferred seller list...for what that's worth...
