Another tragic case of some doorknob, somewhere, who has ruined a valuable coin.

Does anyone here actually buy problem coins? I might have been forgiving if it wasn't so polished! They didn't just do a simple clean. It looks almost sandblasted. I wonder what they used, Brasso?

Reminds me of a stack of Peace Dollars I once saw at Antiques USA in Maine. They were all polished up like a new car, what a shame.

Even the circulated CC dollars seem ridiculously expensive.

But I'm new to recent pricing, so maybe I'm missing something.

That coin is obliterated and the seller is asking premium price if it actually graded. I was being sarcastic with the post ;)

I might give $141 for it and try to resell it.

On second thought, I wouldn't. That would depend upon some misguided soul buying it from me.

No worries. The sarcasm -- appropriate I think -- seemed obvious, even to a newbie like me.

I offered to sell him as many of those as he wanted for $1500, and mentioned I'd be making major money by doing so. Doubt he'll see the humor, though. :)
