I picked up for $31. Was that a good deal for this? My old red book lists it at $100 at AG. The listing states it is a bad pic and more of the date is view-able. I will have to see. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1795-Libert...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
31$ what the hell - can you really see a date? or just took the wording to buy? In G-04 is 300 but I don't know the value in poor condition!!
Some always under-grade and put their coins below even what a TPG would grade but that is OK if my grade is one above then I my grade is right. I see the 5 on the coin but I will take what the seller says, that more of the date is readable in hand then in the pic. I know some of my large cents are hard to photograph. Sometimes I have to do a very high resolution scan.
How? And if you have to do a high res scan just to see a date then what good is it in hand and don't TP graders look at coins only at 10X at the most to grade??
No they look at it in hand not in a photo. I am talking about photographing old coppers like that since they are dark. In the listing it says that you can see part of the "179" and most of the 5. I will have to see when I get it since like I said, low grade old coppers are hard to photo. I use a 10x loop to view coins in hand.
