I got this $20 star note from the ATM this weekend. I don't really collect paper money but I know people collect star notes so I always check for them. This bill isn't in great shape and has an ink spot on it. Is it worth holding onto or should I spend it?
I would spend it, but there are members here that keep almost all of the star notes they find. The note has numerous folds, poor margins, and an ink stain.
The margins are probably because I cut them off when I scanned it but otherwise what you say is true.
While it is true that the condition isn't all that great, it is a low-run Star Note (640k) so it's not that common and might be of interest to some collectors
Low run so worth keeping. I keep all I find regardless of location. Then sell them off for a slight profit. If it's not worth it to you, you can always spend it.
