George II Indian Peace Medal

    Was hoping one of you might know a price & more information on it.


    I know its not an original one, since they were coin over pieces of eight and this one weighs 40.6 grams.

    Did you ever find out anything about this peace medal? I have the same one and I'm looking for info??? Anyone please help...NO CAMPFIRE OR PEACE PIPE, I wanna know who made this thing!

    I know just a bit more about it. This one is shown in my ref. "Indian Peace Medals and Related Items: Collecting the Symbols of Peace and Friendship" by Rita Laws, PH.D. (2005). This is known as the 1757 Quaker Indian Peace Medal. Originals have sold for over $52,000. No general values for the newer pieces (copies) was provided. It would be very difficult to know who made these later examples, as they have been widely copied by both government and private entities.
