Lets see how good you are at attributing this DDO with just 2 images .. The seller thinks its a DDR .....
Well, you show us pics of the reverse, so I'd say its a DDR (DDO would be obverse). There are no "C"s and no stars on the obverse.... That is *incredibly* minor doubling.
It very well may be a DDO. If you want to convince us of that, show us obverse pics. All you've shown so far are 2 extreme closeups of reverse details.

Either you are completely misunderstanding what I'm saying, or you know something that I don't. I'm not sure which.
This is the one I think it is http://www.ikedollardoubledie.com/iddd-1971-s-page-three.php scroll on down to 159 ....
Lee showed up and he has no idea what you are referring to. Due to the shear size of the coin and the fact that the US Mint had to re-invent the "large dollar" production processes, the Eisenhower Dollar has an over abundance of doubled dies both Obverse and Reverse. Only a few are noteworthy. As for Tom's site? I usually do not visit it.
Woof. That website is terribly designed and full of incredibly minor variations. Anything that you need 50x to see isn't worth wasting time on. No wonder I didn't have a clue what you were talking about. Sure, there is nominal doubling there - but it is so absolutely trivial that most wouldn't even mention it.
I love the abundance of info on that site, but it is THE most confusing and cluttered site on doubled dies I've ever been to.
I must say that the amount of information provided is rather impressive, but also agree in that the presentation could certainly better. Of course, it's probably easier said than done, especially coming from one isn't tasked with doing it.
