1943 Steel Cent is it worth cleaning or just toss in melting pot.

    Did you guys know the edges don't have zinc on them? They plated the strip before punching out the blanks. Not much can be done to fix the rust but fun to play with.

    You can't even throw this one in the melting pot, if other normal cents are included.
    Iron and copper will not alloy together.

    Best one I have. Still corroding a tad. But definitely unique to see in a sea of red cents
