Nice looking coin. Probably worth around 20 cents.

It's in really nice shape, but unfortunately it's not worth much at all. Maybe fifty cents to a dollar on eBay if you want to spend the time and energy to list it. They just made too many of them.

I see no evidence of cleaning at all.

Hey, welcome to Coin Talk. This is a very nice penny, although some purists might get snippy and tell you it is a cent. Copper will turn brown from aging, but this one has stayed nice and red. It is not worth much right now, but it is what we call a strong strike and is an attractive coin. Perhaps drop this one in a baggie and put it away for a few years and it will gain in value.

I still see cartwheel , so it hasn't been buffed . I doubt very much if it was cleaned in any way .

I was thinking the hot sauce rub, the beard is worn down as far as i could tell, and some of the other higher spots...Just a thought.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

It is an AU cent. It probably came from a roll that someone cracked and searched, and this one wasn't good enough for anything else. It is attractive, and would fill a hole in an album well, if you are into that sort of thing - but it doesn't really have much value above face.

AU sounds right. I don't feel it was cleaned. The luster and color are all there.

Not unusual to find bright looking '60 pennies. I have one 1968 D penny and four 1968 Philadelphia pennies I picked up in change recently

It is odd how those from that era look the best to even this day.... either a collection(s) was broken up over time or there's just something about indestructible Lincoln pennies from that time....
