I recently purchase a digital microscope for use in coin photography and 'found' these while going through my old collection of Canadian coins. Nova Scotia 1864 1 cent == reverse Newfoundland 1941 5 cents == obverse == Canada 1859 1 cent
Found it on Amazon. Only drawback is I cannot always 'stretch' the holding arm high enough for a complete photo of the coin. Otherwise, for $35 it does what I need to do. Did have to 'create' a light diffuser to get rid of the glare from the built-in LEDs; so I turn them off and use a lamp for light on the CLOSE UP photos. http://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Micr...usb+2.0
Yes, it does indeed. Cannot believe what I'm finding after all these years; some I have had for more than 30 years and just never EXAMINED them as I should. And I keep looking.
Those are interesting! The reverse die on the NFLD 5c appears to have been scored, rather than a crack. Perhaps the feeder mechanism did that? I haven't seen another on the coins I have...
