I was about to recycle it to the checked bin and saw there is letters stamped all around the edge and and dozens all around obverse and reverse, I think I'll keep it for me
two s, top left (shaded) and right (light) then a light 8 under the left s(looks like a backwards s), then an E (shaded) under eight and rotated,
I suppose you expect the letters appear perfect and flat on a very in level surface, or are the pictures turning out blurred on your end, I'll have better pics soon
Maybe draw a circle around it? If you're using a computer open the file with Paint and it's easily done. If it's a phone...maybe there's an app that will let you do it?
Your coin is showing a lot of signs of wear and tear. It is a normal thing to look at a coin like this and have your mind play tricks on you. The scratches, dents, dings, etc., can appear to take on the shape of letters, reverse letters, numerals, objects, etc. that really aren't there. It's all Post Mint Damage and I can even see letters but when I focus on them I can see it's PMD. Don't let your mind run wild when viewing a coin.
