physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Not even close. No questions asked. Absolutely, plainly, 100% fake.

On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being a Chuck E. Cheese coin and 10 being a fake that'll fool experts... This is probably a 3.

Absolutely not real. The weakness of the detail the irregular disappearing denticles etc. I bet a magnet would stick to it too

Let the weakness of the strike, especially the obverse, be your first clear guidepost for counterfeit Trade Dollars. They were strongly struck with very few exceptions.

Fake as the weak areas show . Rear dentils are terrible and the list could go on and on .

100% fake, real ones have much stronger details.

Op coin does't even closely resemble a real trade dollar--totally genuine Bejing mintage, or cast-age. :)

I thought the fake bagmarks on the left side of the reverse were a nice touch.

A scale should tell you all you need to know.

I agree always weigh it .. easiest test

I have a bad , meaning a bad fake Morgan , the weight is correct . Only way the weight tells anything is if it's wrong . But it's still one of the 1st tests a person should do after looking at it .
