    One of only a handful of my remaining Roman Imperial coins.

    Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Dupondius (25mm, 12.71 g, 12h). Struck AD 134-138. Bareheaded and draped bust right / Egypt reclining left, holding sistrum, resting elbow on basket; to left, ibis standing right on low cippus; S C in exergue. RIC II 839.

    Obv: AV KAI AΔΡΙΑΝΟC.
    Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, wearing Aegis.

    Rev: EΠΙ T AIΛIOY COCΘEN / TIBE.
    Apollo naked standing l., holding laurel-branch in his r. hand, his l. elbow resting on column.

    8.54 g.
