Is it just my mobile and pad, or does Stack's Bowers website lock up on others quite frequently?

Stack's website sucks on all platforms and browsers. This is well known.

On some, it is workable, on some it doesn't function at all.

That's one outfit I lost interest in.
There was a time I would purchase something and go pick it up.( Wolfeboro,NH)
They were the days before they were sold

I was trying a while back to buy an 1893 Morgan from their site. Never could execute the transaction, gave up and bought elsewhere.

Doubt they shedded many tears over that.....

Their site is by far the poorest of the large auction houses. I also think their pictures are the worst of the bunch as well. I still look through their inventory/auctions, but it is a little frustrating.

FWIW, I don't like the new David Lawrence website at all. I prefer their previous site, but that was not great either.

Legend's site is okay, but I don't like the fact that as soon as an auction is over, anything you were bidding on or tracking is lost. It's like they "erase" all the info. You have to go back and look at their auction results and then find the coin through all the listings again. I've spoken with them on the phone about this earlier this year. It makes tracking a coin useless.

Heritage is leaps and bounds ahead of all sites.

Didn't Stacks buy and then kill Teletrade? Teletrade was great! Stacks auctions... no good. Mostly just a system for them to liquidate their hoard.

Stack's bought Teletrade and "integrated" them into the borg.

Stacks Bowers Galleries and Teletrade were both Spectrum Group International owned companies. They were combined into one operating group (together with Spectrum Numismatics) back in 2013.

The Teletrade auction name was dissolved at the end of 2013, and what used to be Teletrade weekly auctions were effectively renamed and taken over by Stacks Bower Galleries weekly auctions. Everything went to pot when they rolled out their "new and improved" website -- which has had problems since day one.

Stacks website sucks. But I've gotten some real nice coins real reasonable. Something I can almost never say about ha. Anything halfway decent there brings plenty of money best luck I have there is buying something real good at their signature auctions and paying the price. I wish stacks would bring back their weekly I auctions. I relied on them to buy some decent inventory regularly at a price I could actually resell it at

You can get good deals on Stacks because the website sucks so much that nobody else goes there.
