I use vinegar to clean medical items. I have NOT use it for a burn: gonna try it, but I hope I never do!!! Thanks for the tip. AND, I understand you can safely clean COINS with vinegar?
They use vinegar on pennies, I would use with caution on ancients. I have used lemon juice on silver, not tried vinegar.

Hope you have the most speedy & pain-free recovery as possible. Here is a Hand Heller coin possibly from Swabia Germany in the 13th - 14th Century. Just this last weekend I dabbled with a pork chop recipe that took a frying pan out of the hot oven & onto the stovetop. Of course you really need both hands free to use the frying pan to brown your items. The second I put the pan on the stovetop I knew I could have a senior moment & burn myself. Therefore, I took the oven mitten off my hand & instead of placing it on the counter, it was immediately put onto the handle of the frying pan.
