    Hi Everyone,

Ive noticed something in my search for my Lincoln Collection, is that some "removed from mint set" coins have a higher price tag than Proof, Cameo and even Ultra Cameo coins.

Now, these coins are of the same date and mint marks, and even from the same vender!
Does this have to do with the Mintage count or something else?

I think the higher price is for the "premium" quality of the coin. If a coin is removed from a mint set it TENDS to be of a higher quality than typical circulation strike coins. It would have less bag marked, etc.

But please not this is not always true, it is just generally the case.

I hope this helps in your purchasing decision!

    Lucky:
removed from a mint set is BS, however, really nice uncs can be priced higher than proofs.
The reason: Proofs are handled carefully and are generally nice. Uncs can be tossed into bags.

    Makes sence

    That seems to make sence.

So, the coins value is in it's looks, rarity, and condition of simmular coins avalible... something like that?
