Can anyone post a picture of a "RPM" Lincoln penny? Thanking you in advance. Good question Anthony. swick
try this site, maybe it has what you need ... http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/OtherFormsOfDoubling.htm
Lol, I was going to post that. RPMs can come in different forms. I am trying currently to do a set lol. Here is a pic I have of one. Here is another. Notice the difference? Each one has different varieties, that is why you will see numbers such as RPM #001, RPM #018, etc. Hope this helps, and the site Dagger posted is what I would think to be the best place to go to learn more about them. :thumb: Phoenix
Try this site. You can find pictures of almost every Rpm and Double die Cents. http://www.coppercoins.com/diesearch.php
A repunched mint mark is simply where the mint mark was punched into the die more than once. Typically, you can see doubling, or traces of the second mintmark. There are also over-mint marks, in which say a denver die was sent to San Francisco, and they punched an S over the D, or vice versa.
