Came across this 1981-P quarter that appears to have an extra leaf and twig on the reverse. There are no varieties of this date. On the right side there appears to be an extra leaf. On the left it looks like a twig sticking out and another floating twig above it. Doesn’t appear to be damaged as they are raised. It could be a die clash, but it doesn’t line up with anything. Thoughts? Thanks
Who knows what this quarter has been through? If there is one thing you should learn from this is is: When posting photos, always use the Full Image feature so your photos will be visible without manipulation from the reader.
I don't see anything besides it being in a knife attack.I believe your looking to hard for something so little with all that damage, still a quarter.
That one small section does appear to be a lamination, as @Paddy54 said, but the other areas you question don't stand out as anything important to me. Could you please post all of your next post photos in Full Image, for these old eyes? Thanks.
