Does NGC still do this for World Coin mint sets?

I heard that they don't do this anymore... As I understand it, NGC will only holder them individually, but will provide "sequential serial numbers" for each slab to 'kind of' show that the coins came from a single mint set.

    Has anybody else seen these?

Too bad if they did do away with it. It looked like a pretty good idea.

I think you are correct, but I'm not 100% sure. You're best bet would be to visit the NGC site and post this same question in the "Ask NGC" thread. They are very responsive to questions.

Gosh, that is a very attractive set! I don't know if NGC ended this slab style, but I would love to own sets like yours!

This was called the "Multi-Holder". NGC began using it at about the same time that the Mint started the SQ Program, but it was discontinued several years ago. They do have an "Oversized Holder" for large medals, but I don't know if NGC would use it for coin sets. As suggested earlier, you might want to post a thread on "Ask NGC".

Alas, it's not mine... I wish it was. I know that these mulit-holders were hugely popular with mint set collectors. They should bring it back.

I really like the presentation, but I suspect there's a bit of setup involved for the machine that makes these holders--to precisely fit specific mint sets?
