The bank knows I collect coins and bank notes and sets anything they think I may like aside for me, here are my finds from when I started last year. One Dollar: 1935B, 1935E, 1957B, 1957B; Star notes, oldest one is a 1963b Barr note. Two Dollar: 1928e, 1953b, 1953b; Star notes, old 1976 Five Dollar: 1928e Red Seal, 1934c Silver Cert., 1963 Red Seal Ten Dollar: 1934a, 1934 Silver Certificate, 1950, 1969 Twenty Dollar: 1934c Fifty Dollar: 1928a, 1934c Hundred Dollar: 1981b (Worth face but I needed it to complete my set)
Unique idea for a set. How far back are you going? And then, which ones are you missing from that date on?
I try to get one small portrait for each denomination. I try to make it a challenge by getting them out of circulation. I was able to complete the set within a year, next I tried to get all the general circulation seals, Red Blue and Green for all small portrait, so far I have all but a green seal $5, which I assume will be easy to find considering I have so far only asked for red or blue seal $5 notes, if I ask for old green seal $5 notes I think I will be able to get one. Next time I'm at the bank I will ask. Then I will try to go for series... I just hope it won't be too expensive, maybe I could just try to focus on One Dollar notes for that set, those are my favorite to try and collect and they are cheaper to collect
