That's what I'm counting on , but being from Illinois , they give all big Lotto winners an IOU . We must be the only state in the Union giving IOUs to the Lotto winners .

 

Illogical, not all patterns were proofs.

Better yet. I'll take the top of the box and we can cut the coin down the middle and you take the bottom of the box

Off hand I'm not aware of any other pattern of the era being business strikes, but clearly could be mistaken they are certainly not my area of expertise.

 

I was hoping no one would notice this pattern piece for sale and I could get it on the cheap....

 

Always wanted to see another one of these"in the wild" the last one I saw was in Court St. Coin Shop in Boston Ma. when I was a kid(1959)
