I like 'em all except Effigy Mounds and Ozark Waterways.

I don't know how well the Ellis Island will translate to a coin. Typically straight on building images do not work well on coins

so, then they should only have 1/2 the island on the coin.

Having spent many days on the Ozark Riverways, somehow the backside of the softshell turtle in the foreground doesn't quite capture the grandeur.:meh:

Nonetheless, it's a daring design and perhaps will look great in hand.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I thought these were supposed to be "commemorating" national parks and monuments. What national parks are those top two supposed to be? They look like pictures of dudes.

The Ellis Island coin is cool to me but that's because my late mother-in-law came through there as a World War II refugee.

I think the ATB Cedar Hills quarter reverse is missing the mark. The coin is supposed to celebrate Cedar Hills not Frederick Douglas. Nothing against Frederick Douglas at all. I am just saying stick with the theme. I know the residents of southeast Washington, DC would love to see the image of Cedar Hills (Frederick Douglas' home) on a quarter. Washington, DC is being robbed!

But the name of the NHS is not Cedar Hills, it's "Frederick Douglass National Historic Site". Same thing with George Rogers Clark ...

The Effigy Mounds designs I find cool. But whether the different shades can make it onto the minted coins - I'm skeptical. What I also find a little strange: In that case only, an additional explanatory text in the central area was apparently considered to be necessary. Really? :)
