    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

    Hits, damage. Not DIE cracks.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

His nose exhibits a mark from post mint contact (a form of damage).

I can't see what you are referring to on his shoulder. The shoulder is a more common location for die cracks - but I can't see in these pictures.

Die Cracks are actually raised and not incused as your Cent shows. That's what a Die Crack is, a crack on the Die that's missing metal and when the Die strikes the Cent it takes the form of that missing space. What you have is PMD - Post Mint Damage due to circulation.

You are the experts for sure and are very appreciated . I will get you some clearer photos of other possible mint error coins . At least I can place those coins in a bin to be sent to the bank to be turned in for disposal. A proper burial.

No. A dye crack is spelled die, not dye. Even if you spelled it correct it's still not a die crack. It's PMD or post mint damage. Some while in circulation it took a few hits that caused a gouge. Die cracks are raised.

A hole or depression can only be made by something contacting the coin not the die. The coat and head are the lowest point of the die, anything damaging the top of the die would appear in the field, or lowest part of the coin. If something was between the coin and the die during the strike it would appear as a strike through and be lower but would maintain the shape of the object, or a grease filled die.
I always have to remind myself (doesn;t do much good) that a doubled die always adds to the coin. There is more width, if not outright doubling on the coins features. Any time there is "less" or regular sized digits with seperation lines you can pretty much write it off as being flow lines from die deterioration.
