Keeps listing fake coins.. report him as much as possible! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1914-D-2-5-...818461?hash=item3f5577411d:g:77MAAOSwVL1WCzzj
How can you possibly tell from the pictures? Sorry, but I still find it hard believe anybody would bid on blurry out of focus pictures.
My evidence is I specialize in $2 1/2 and that coin is not even close to real. I have also been watching his auctions for awhile. Take a look at his recent feedback.
I don't doubt your expertise. The problem I have is with those pictures I can't even begin to tell it is a fake. I am going to try to send the seller a couple of questions.
Well first time I have seen this when I went to ask a question: We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of messages this seller receives, they are unable to respond to your specific question right now. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing. Now how can I ask for clear pictures and if he will take a return on a counterfeit item.
Everything about this guy says scammer. He used to sell fake other items, now fake coins. Even his name is suspicious. If you have to say "authentic" in your name, you are trying to hard.
Yep - a lot of red flags on the auction. Bad pictures, stating no returns seller should know what they are getting, plus accepts only credit cards from the looks of it. Yeah like I will give this guy my cc over the phone. And yet people still bid on coins with sellers like this.
His latest Negative, from a $5 Indian sale: "PLEASE NOTE SELLER IS TRYING TO SELL COUNTERFEIT COINS AGAINST FEDERAL LAW" Kinda says it all.

"Due to the preponderance of the evidence" this guy is a scammer. I heard a judge on TV say that once. Now I have an opportunity to say it.
Let me count the red flags for this turkey: 1. Blurry photos 2. 94.4% positive feedback 3. Only 60 total feedbacks 4. Will not accept returns He may as well hang a big banner that says "Imma rip you off!" Anybody naïve enough to buy from this charlatan deserves what they get. You couldn't pay me enough to bid on anything from this seller.
<<< WE ALSO BUY COINS! IF YOU HAVE COINS TO SELL PLEASE MESSAGE US! WE BUY ALL TYPES OF COINS. PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS AT THE MOMENT, WE ACCEPT VIA CHECKOUT, IF YOU WANT TO ORDER BY PHONE PLEASE SEND US A MESSAGE AND ONE OF OUR OPERATORS WILL CONTACT YOU! PLEASE NOTE (RETURNS): RETURNS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. IT IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE RECEIVING, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ITEM PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID. >>> I'm not sure exactly how many eBay rules he violated here, but it's at least 3.
Using fidelcastro as a screen name is not exactly cool. Sadly, until more buyers are scammed he will remain there. But anyone can ask for better photos. If he fails to produce them, then beware. It's also never a great idea to buy gold coins online from the bay anyways as I rarely see edges in photos which could tell if they are former jewelery pieces. This would be noted on a graded slabbed coin. Always buy raw coins in person.
Some naïve potential buyers may say, "Well, he's had some nice positive feedback lately on similar coins." Well, scammers often these days work in groups, and it's child's play to have a group of scammers, them and their family members giving each other nice positive feedback while using all sorts of eBay names. The seller's items sold to the scammer group members of course probably never actually get shipped. Yes, the seller has to pay the eBay seller fees, so there is some cost involved, but they look at the overall picture of scamming enough people to make a very nice profit, and the glowing feedback helps to lure in the mark. Eventually they get banned from eBay, but not before absconding with a lot of money, and chances are they are not in our country legally, so they operate basically with impunity. They know how to keep the amounts of money underneath the radar of law enforcement, and companies or individuals have no interest to pursue legal action because they know the scammer will likely never be found. In this particular case, shame on eBay for not banning this seller account by now considering all the negs.
Has everyone here reported this seller? I have, and hope everyone else has too. You have to do what you can or this s--- will continue.
