Really have not been keeping up with the presidential coin but this morning while I was having my coffee I watched a little of the coin vault. It is kind of entertaining in a strange kind of way. Anyhow he had the John Adams presidential coin in a NGC slabbed P and D set. Did not think this would be available until next week. How does this dude do this. He done the same thing with the Washington dollar. He did say on one of his shows that he sold enough coins to influence the price of coins on the market. Kind of scary hu.
Lol...yeah.... Well, I live in Jacksonville, and I found many of the Washington Dollar errors in rolls from this specific bank, so hopefully it will happen again. And if it doesn't, I can always sell the remaining boxes on Ebay =p
When the Washington dollars were released there were several banks around the country that released them a week earlier than the mint did. It's not really unusual nor is it out of line, illegal or anything else - it is normal commerce. The banks can order the coins from the Fed and begin releasing them anytime they want.
