How long has NGC done the "Early Release" label?

And I prefer the blue label. Not "ER", just the color blue vs. the brown. Am I right and you're wrong? Heck no. I'm just glad they have choices.

I know all that matters is the coin, but when slabbing them, a nice presentation goes a long way.

Agreed, NGC actually started their labels as First Strike. in 2006. But as stated above the lawsuit was filled and they started started their Early Release label. I have a 2006 Proof 70 ASE in the first strike label. There are a number of First strike labels in the market because as stated above you could send in a sealed box to get the label I have a number of NGC First Strike labels. The First Strike Labes were actually Red.

So now you know you can get an entire set of silver eagles in early release but from 1986 to 2006 you can get some of them in the first strike red label. Grading company's create massive hype with their labels. Remember the you can buy massive hype to get the Kennedy gold at the Chicago show? This was caused by the special label offered by the grading company's. I suggest you buy the coin NOT the label.

While you are right, the set from '07 to current excluding proofs and special sets are all ER and would like to continue that to when they started it
