I'll not gross-out everyone by listing all the meats & things it has been necessary to eat over the years. May I tell you all one (interesting) story? It was sometime in the 1990s that I was having dinner with some folks in Taiwan. My friend (the boss) said that I was so different compared to so many westerners that don’t eat anything other than steak & potatoes. The boss said she would like to include something at dinner that perhaps I had never had before. She read the menu & asked “have you ever had octopus eyeballs?”

Now think about it. If you say yes, then she is going to read further on the menu & find some other delicacy. I chose the honest path & said no. Later that night we were drinking beers and snacking on these small round fried salty things.

OK, one story. I was working in the Philippines. The Filipinos I worked with were trying their best to come up with something I wouldn't eat. They gave up when I ate Balute (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balut_(food) and asked for another.
