Well, the "rats" out of the bag I guess. I think its painfully obvious I'm not an audiophile.

Wow, I know they need to take artistic license, but if that is in proper proportion to the horse, what is that? A 50 pound rat? Maybe they grew them fat in Rome.

From what I've read, there were plenty of "Big Rats" throughout Roman history. I'm sure we can all name a few. I have to wonder the significance of the rat on this coin. If maybe it had a political or environmental meaning. I can certainly see a rat on a US coin making a political statement.

I long to see a cat on a Roman coin. BTW.. Were the Romans familiar with cats ? Did they prefer Pussy to Mighty Mouse, for instance.

If this was a post from almost ANYONE other than 7-C, I would STRONGLY suspect an attempt at 'humorous wordplay'o_O:rolleyes:

Perhaps it is a small horse?

One time in 1979 I woke up to a noise in my Shanghai hotel room. The hotel's rat was only about 10 pounds in my estimation.

AH! So you remember Shanghai as a FLAT city then, instead of the massive skyscrapers of today! :) Me too. Seen many a huge rat there... thought about taking my saddle so that I would not need taxis... (Several of my Chinese suppliers used to call me Niúzǎi - Cowboy)

Yep. Other than new constuction, the tallest building was the clock tower. Millions of people wearing either blue, gray, or green uniforms and only a few black cars were on the roads. The place hasn't changed a bit.

In Vietnam, I had my foot locker pushed under my bunk in order to have room in my hooch to move around. There were many a night I was wakened by a rat(s) on top of my footlocker hitting into the springs on my bed. I caught a glimpse of this monster a few times. Huge! I've eaten squirrel smaller than that beast.
