You misunderstood greatly my friend.. You see how I have taken Paddyman's opinion into consideration... Why? Because he's given good reasons that supports what he thought may be the case... Vs Note: looks like someone took a hack saw to it......? You get the idea now??

Not necessary, but should be expected when you make errers.

You mean this "weighs just a gram short of 3.2 weighing in at 3.0"?

Any credibility you had is circling the drain.

You have to realize, Coinattic, that no one here could possibly tell you exactly how a coin got into the condition it has. All you can get is guesses as to how that damage may have been caused.

Your images from other sources appear to be cents struck on dime planchets (hence the weakness in strike and smaller size). Yours is on a copper planchet and though superficially similar in appearance is not the same.

Confusing the word "error" with the word "damage." Something lost in translation perhaps?

Ok, had enough. I like tator tots. Hey I had to say something besides just sitting here thinking once again I have read a thread that has no meaning and wasted my time. The coin in the OP question is a damaged coin, very easy to see.
