Going through some penny rolls, out pops a 1993 and it has a bold wire rim with almost twice the thickness. The coin is in remarkable condition and has full steps. Also, there is polish lines all over it. It seems to be some sort of copper aluminum?? I am astonished at this find. Also, it appears that the rim has a break in it; almost as if the rim was adhered after or before the coin was made. This sounds crazy but I believe this is a new discovery experimental cent. Weighing in at 2.5 grams with twice the thickness of a zinc. I am confused
Seems to be ome sort of copper aluminum; does not thud like normal zinc pennies but has a greater metallic ring
Ok; I will keep that in mind but there are so many characteristics of this coin that sets it far from the rest. Thanks. Do you know how to go about getting this graded? If it just so happens to be experimental, how would I get that attributed at NGC or PCGS?
