Better get that in the open or you'll be watching the Wrath of Khan holding your tets all alone while the other is in the other room!;)

It's all in how you sell it: phrase it as "I buy antiquities and pieces of ancient artwork" and you'll certainly pique your dates' interest ;)

(Granted, it's safest to not mention coins at all to anyone)

I must be the odd man out. My wife is not the least bit concerned about how much money I spend on coins, and she's genuinely interested in some of my acquisitions - not the esoteric stuff, but the "high art" pieces. And to her credit, she made an honest effort to read my website and stay awake.

My wife is extremely smart to monitor how much I spend on coins ... otherwise I would end-up like this guy ...

... sure, I'd be pushing around a very sweet coin collection, but I'd be single and homeless

Astounding coins Greg. I see you don't have a wife, if you did she would surely boil you in oil. Let me go lay down and think about my marital arrangement. God I love ancient coins.

In my life in collecting I have known one couple that collected together. He had some knockout sestertii while she had Greek including the worlds most worn Athenian dekadrachm. I have not seen them for years but I always admired the way they could talk about coins without competing.

On June 10th or 11th, 323 BC, Alexander died of a mysterious illness in the palace of Nebuchadrezzar II of Babylon.
