Any coin dealers in Jackson Ms area who could take a look at a few coins and give me some pointers? I'm new at coin collecting and any help will be appreciated.

NGC doesn't list any in Jackson. The closest one they list is in Ridgeland about 10 miles away, but they only have a telephone #.

Bill's near Raymond Road and Terry Road. Pretty rough neighborhood though.

Why not list some of the "few" coins you have and let us here on the forum sort of get an idea of what we could do to assist.

Well, text would give us a start point. Something like:
    1866 5 cents (Shield nickel)
    1887 Liberty 5 cents ( a 'V' nickel )
    1917-S Buffalo nickel
    1950-D Jefferson nickel
and so forth, if you can guess at condition then go ahead and add it. List ten or
15 of the coins as a start.

Before visiting any dealer, I'd do a little bit of homework on your own!

You should really buy a recent copy (2013, 2014, 2015 or 2106) of this book:

    https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=the+red+book+coins

It will give you a beginning understanding of the coins you have and a VERY GENERAL value. For up to date pricing, there are other places to visit. With this book, you'll at least know a little bit more about the coins you possess and if you have something really special.
