1909 lincoln wheat

    I found this in circulation and I notice a faint vdb and doubleing on the wheat stalk bow rare is this coin

    If there is a VDB there, I cannot see it at all, it is much too faint to have any significance.

    And that is not where the vdb is. It is basically to the right of your circle.

    Yes, and I can see the head of an opossum just above it. We get so many people who want to find something so bad that they start imagining things. If you would just take the time to learn about the minting process, you will probably stop wasting much of your time.

    What you see is your imagination at work on a coin that is 105 years old. It's not what you think or want it to be. The VDB you see is not what you want. You're looking in the wrong area. It's just wear on the coin that makes it look this way to you. I don't see a VDB but as I said, your photos are in the wrong area. Nice find for a circulation penny of it's age. :)
