That batch of world coins looks almost exactly like a batch I bought back in high school. For a dollar they would sent you something like 20 world coins. I think I bought 40 for like 2 and some change. After 30 years I still have them.
You have a great start to a world coin collection there. I placed all of my world coins in 2 by 2s and put them in a 3 ring binder. As for what they're worth, I really dont know. It would be a great help to you if you would invest in one of these in the pic I've provided. That is if you're going to seriously pursue collecting these. These catalogs are a great resource. As for the U.S. coins. I'd put a value of no more than $8 to $10 dollars. I cant really determine the grades very accurately from the pics but its a close estimate IMO. Its a very nice lot of coins you have overall.
